Review commentary
PanzerBlitz, published in 1970 by Avalon Hill is a pioneering board wargame set in World War II's Eastern Front, offers players a tactical level simulation. Using hexagonal grid maps and counters to represent military units, the game emphasizes strategic depth and realism. Players command either German or Soviet forces, engaging in various scenarios that require thoughtful planning and strategy. Despite its age, PanzerBlitz remains a beloved classic in the wargaming community, appreciated for its historical accuracy, complexity, and replay value, making it a landmark title in the genre. We had a lot of fun playing this game back in the 70's. I highly recommend it!
