1. Prepare the batch

Remove visible mold lines, wash resin or oily castings in mild soapy water, rinse, and dry completely. Glue the figures to temporary holders or bases. Pick one test figure before committing the whole unit.

2. Prime lightly

Use thin coats in a ventilated space and follow the primer label. Turn each model to reach recesses without burying detail. Let the primer cure before painting.

3. Work one color across the unit

Block in the largest uniform area on every figure, then repeat for equipment, flesh, and weapons. Two thin coats cover more cleanly than one thick coat. Keep a simple color note so later units match.

4. Add depth and a few highlights

Touch a controlled dark wash into folds and seams; avoid flooding flat areas. Once dry, highlight raised cloth and gear with a slightly lighter version of each base color. At tabletop distance, faces, headgear, and weapons matter most.

5. Base and inspect

Texture the bases, paint the edges consistently, and add restrained grass or flock. Set the unit on the table and repair only mistakes you can see at normal playing distance.
