1. Size the sections

Measure your widest common vehicle or unit frontage. Cut a few straight lengths, two curves, and a junction; taper the ends so pieces overlap naturally.

2. Build the surface

Spread a thin flexible layer of texture, then press two shallow wheel ruts into wider roads. Keep the underside clean and do not coat so heavily that the road curls.

3. Paint variation

Basecoat medium brown, work darker color into ruts, and drybrush the raised gravel. Add a little grass along the edges rather than evenly across the road.

4. Test on the table

Lay every section over your usual gaming mat and join them in several shapes. Trim bulky ends and touch up gaps before sealing with a flexible matte finish.
