$48,000 for Star Citizen's Ship Bundle Makes it the Most Expensive Video Game Ever!

Star Citizen, a long-awaited and ambitious project by developer Cloud Imperium Games, has been developing since its announcement in 2012. It promises a groundbreaking multiplayer experience combining elements of first-person shooters, massively multiplayer online games (MMOs), and space simulation. The game allows players to acquire ships through in-game currency or by using real money.

The Legatus 2953 package, introduced during the holiday season, commands an astounding $48,000 price, placing it in the same financial league as a brand-new Ford F-150 pickup truck, which typically costs around $33,000. The bundle comprises 175 diverse vessels, among them the colossal Javelin-class destroyer. This capital ship stands as one of the most expensive items ever sold within the realm of video gaming, rivaling the exorbitantly priced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive AWP skins and even a complete virtual recreation of Amsterdam in Second Life."

BGG @ Sea: Gaming on the Waves

One of your favorite gaming websites (No, it's not Battleward) is planning a sea cruise for gamers. You heard me, a sea cruise for gamers, because you'll be playing games while missing the sights. Not really, I don't think, but during those humdrum times the ship is on the open seas, in-between ports, I'm sure is when they'll host the games. I think. It's a 10-day cruise, September 12 - 21, 2024, departing Cape Liberty, NJ with ports of call North, along the East Coast all the wat to Nova Scotia. For a solo berth it's $1699.00 and it goes up from there, and if you have more than one person it gets really pricey. Anyway, it's an interesting concept and it might be a lot of fun, although, I'd rather stay home and game. That's just me. Anyway, check it out for yourself.

There's a Disturbance in the Force; Fallout London is Delayed

The team behind the eagerly anticipated Fallout London mod has announced a delay in its release. This decision stems from a recurring issue faced by the modding community: Bethesda's updates to their RPGs often disrupt existing mods. Team FOLON® has chosen to wait for the upcoming Fallout 4 update before finalizing their code. This strategic pause ensures that the mod is fully compatible and optimized for the latest game version, enhancing stability and user experience upon release.
