Some folks have asked me over the last year, why is my focus solely on wargaming on this site? Why not broaden the scope of the website and include all types of games?
Well, the site really isn't just for wargaming, but...
The simple answer is that there is only one of me. I can do only so much.
Take this website, I used to be a fairly decent web designer in the past, but it had been at least a decade (or more) since I tried writing a website. I had to relearn coding, like HTML5 and CSS, Java and a few other codes. I bought a large very thorough self-help book to build this website. I had to learn the basics all over again, as some of the things had changed. I wanted to make the website HTML5 compliant, as well as implement the latest security measures. That takes time, but when I thought I had picked up enough I began my coding journey.
To take this website beyond its current concept, I'd have to learn a lot more than I have thus far. Yeah, I know, this seems pretty simple, and for the most part it is. Except that I use notepad to write code. I find that's the easiest for me. I've tried a few of the WYSIWYG editors, but it seems more of chore to do it that way. I guess I'm just old school. I even tried using AI for website building. Yeah, that was a trip, that didn't go anywhere. So, I'm stuck doing it how I know how to do it. And yes, I'm a slow typist and prone to making typos and other mistakes on a consistent basis.
If someone would like to volunteer to help me in this endeavor, I certainly wouldn't turn the help down.
Anyway, there you have it. Some of it.
Is This a Wargaming Site?
