Far Reaches Talk

I want to... take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed to the development of Far Reaches RPG. Your suggestions, opinions, and comments have been instrumental in shaping the game. I read and seriously consider all reasonable input, and some of that input has significantly influenced the development of the game. Many of you value your privacy and have specifically requested not to be named in the developmental credits, and I respect that. Nonetheless, your contributions have been invaluable, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Although words feel insufficient, please know your support means the world to me.
I continue to develop Far Reaches not only because of my personal passion but also because of the overwhelming support and encouragement I’ve received from the community. Some of you have suggested starting a Kickstarter campaign to fund a professional game developer. While I appreciate the suggestion, I must admit it feels like a bit of a slight. Firstly, I am thoroughly enjoying the process of designing the game, something I haven't experienced since before retiring. Secondly, handing over the project could alter the original vision of the RPG. I had a similar experience with an earlier iteration of this game; while I learned a lot and enjoyed collaborating with others, the final product diverged significantly from my initial concept. Therefore, I will not be bringing in a professional game designer to take over.
Many have asked if I plan to monetize Far Reaches. I have no intention of charging for the game itself. Once completed, it will be free for everyone to use. As for supplements, I haven't made a decision yet. The concept behind Far Reaches is to allow GMs and players the freedom to create their own pseudo-historical backgrounds. If this approach proves unpopular, I might consider developing an "official" history for various extraterrestrial species, including humans. This is why I haven't yet included an alien generation system (AGS), though I have created one for comparative purposes against human values.
A few of you have inquired about coding a ship design system and combat systems. At this point, I haven't considered it in detail. While I might eventually code these systems to assist with game balancing, they won't be part of the official game rules. For now, my primary focus remains on the core design of the game.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. I would be more than happy to answer them.
