A FB science fiction gaming group I belong to, one of the members held a poll to see what the favorite 4x/strategic board game is among group members. As the date of this post, Twilight Imperium by FFG was number 1, with 22% of the vote, or 19 votes. I voted for Imperium by GDW along with 3 others. I played a couple of games of Twilight Imperium when it first came out, sometime around 1997 or 1998. It wasn't my cup of tea. The game was okay, but it just didn't maintain my interest. There are many other selections of games presented in the poll, and some of those I played as well, other games I have never heard of, still my favorite of all of them is still Imperium. Although a few other games came close. Anyway, I copied the list used in the poll to present it here.
