I don't normally discuss my personal life, but today I have to share. So please bear with me.
As some of you are aware, I'm currently undergoing cardiac rehabilitation due to a stent placement in my left anterior descending artery, known as the LAD. The significance of a blockage in this area cannot be understated; it's often termed the "widow-maker" due to its high risk of death. Fortunately, my condition was diagnosed with a 90% occlusion, and a stent was successfully placed. Post-procedure, my activities have been limited to walking, as the artery walls need time to integrate with the stent. Recently, I was faced with an unrelated intense pain, leading to an ER visit this past Saturday, and an eventual diagnosis of a fatty liver. An ultrasound was scheduled for the afternoon, which coincided with today's rehab. Post-rehab, I encountered a predicament with my blood sugar levels due to the rehab exercise and fasting for the ultrasound, leading to a hasty discussion for a quick resolution. Thankfully, due to an unexpected scheduling change (someone didn't show), I was quickly attended to. This sequence of events, especially at a facility with a less-than stellar reputation for timely appointments, turned out to be serendipitous for me.
An Eventful Day
