When I first began writing my Napoleonic miniature game, I had no name for it. In the short term I called it the No Name Napoleonic Game or NNNG for short. But after a some of the play-testers began to complain. Sometime later we held a naming contest for the game. I don't recall the name of the titles that were submitted, but there were several. What was eventually chosen was its current name, Ordre Mixte: Napoleoni's Gambit. Honestly, I like the name. However, as before there a few play-testers that would like the title changed.
In the spirit of good will, I'm hosting a name gaming contest. Again.
I enter this title as a contender, "Bayonets & Sabers, Battles of 1805 to 1815".
Napoleonic Miniatures Game
Re: Napoleonic Miniatures Game
In regard to the naming contest, I extended the naming of the game to other groups, a couple on Facebook, most on Signal and Discord. I decided to do this because the response from the play-testers was, at best, lackluster. As an example: One such offer is "Napolean & His Generals". Of the 23 play-testers only one voted for it, the one who submitted it.
I do hope my opening this up to others draws some interest. If those of you who read this and want to participate in the name game, please post your suggestions on this thread. If no one in here responds, then I won't open a poll the name game.
Have a great day!

Re: Napoleonic Miniatures Game
Earlier, (5 minutes ago) I posted too soon.
One enterprising individual used my submission and added to it a bit.
His submission, despite his "borrowing" of my title, is pretty good and I like it. I hope others do too.

Re: Napoleonic Miniatures Game
Here is an update to the game's name change.
Not many individuals have participated so far so the offerings have been light. Still here are the few and proud.
5. French Diablo - 3 votes
4. Battles of the Eagle - 7 votes
3. Bayonets, Sabers & Thunder -8 votes
2. The Eagle Dares - 14 votes
1. Napoleon's Ambitions - 22 votes
If you have a suggestion for the game title, please do submit it.
I'm leaving the submission date and the voting open, for now.

Re: Napoleonic Miniatures Game
Here is an update to the name change. I've removed those that didn't move up in votes.
3. Battles of the Eagle - 21 votes
2. The Eagle Dares - 36 votes
1. Napoleon's Ambitions - 77 votes
The closing date for voting is still undecided, I will probably leave it open until the end of June. At that point, whatever titles, if any, reach over 100 votes will be enter the finals. Then whichever title garners the most votes (again over 100 votes) will be declared the winner. If no title reaches 100 votes or greater, then the game title remains the same.
Thanks for voting.

Re: Napoleonic Miniatures Game
I closed the voting in the other places, since no one was interested enough to vote on the names. But we did have a finalist, where one title accrued 113 votes. It was "Napolean's Ambitions". Does that mean I'm going to change the name? I'm considering it. I really wanted a little more involvement, but alas we must settle for what we can get. Anyway, if I change the name of the game, I'll also have to redo the backs of the event cards I've completed so far. We shall see.
