I came across the game in my science fiction group, when some of the members mentioned it when they discussed playing ancients again. I didn't know they ever played ancients! How little we know our brethren. After that, I looked the game up and read a few reviews and since no one had any bad things to say about the game I began considering buying it. I'm still considering it.
There are three ways to get the Impetus rule book; directly from the publisher, Dadi and Piombo, Impetus 2, but I warn you, it can be a might expensive. Another method to get Impetus is as a digital download from Wargame Vault, Impetus 2, which means it has to be printed out, or through Amazon, Impetus 2, which is the best price alternative. Don't forget the army lists!
I can't say how long the links will remain viable, especially with Amazon, but if you want a decent game of ancients, give a try to Impetus 2. I think I am.
