Unfortunately, some personal issues have cropped over the last few months and cumulated recently into hurt feelings and ill will of some people in a few groups. I hate to use this platform to address this but apparently some of these issues originate with my approach to presenting the games I've developed.
First, it was never my intent to exclude anyone. I operate from a simple basis, that is, if I offer something and it isn't accepted I move on. I won't beg cajole, or otherwise attempt to change the minds of people who don't want to participate. If this comes off as impersonal or offensive, then you don't know me well enough. I usually check to see if a person is interested in other things for a few times. If the answer is the same, I move on, and you won't be bothered by me again. It's how I've always operated. I don't need explanations or excuses, so please save them. The way I see it is if a person is going to have an excuse for not participating every time I ask then I will stop asking regardless of the excuse, because the end result is the same.
If you feel excluded, then speak to me. However, if I've asked a person say, for example, 10 times to participate in something and their reply has been a resounding "No" each time, then what's the beef? In other words, why are your feelings hurt all of a sudden? I like to think that anyone can approach me and discuss things, if they're reasonable. But if such encounters become accusatory or plain childish, it's sayonara baby!
It might seem I'm being a hard ass, but I really am not. At my age, time has become a valuable commodity, and I don't intend on wasting what time I have left remaining by waiting until a particular person is free. Plus, I have a lot of people I can ask, and I usually do. And I have a lot of projects in the works. If I should live so long.
I sincerely hope this has addressed the problem. If not, then feel free to contact me for a one-on-one.
Thanks for your understanding and patience.
